ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø engagement scholarship grant

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø-Engaged Scholarship fund encourages and supports scholarly work that involves faculty and communities in co-creating knowledge and exchanging resources in the context of partnership and reciprocity to advance the public good.

Engaged scholarship is, therefore, explicitly democratic in nature; this approach to teaching, learning, and service recognizes multiple ways of knowing and encourages a wider range of deliberation about public issues inside and outside the academy.

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Engagement Faculty Advisory Group determines awards, which are administered through ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Engagement in cooperation with the college or school where the faculty awardee is located.

Historically, faculty grantees have shared the results of their work with campus peers at a Spring President's Engaged Scholarship Awards ceremony. In many cases, projects have led to faculty publications and presentations at professional conferences as well.
